Bridal corsets

From the 1990's, there's a great revolution in wedding dresses! It's all over with the archi-traditional meringue-dress, big pouf of shiny polyester, uniformly white and making each bride a clone of all others...

Today one wants a wedding dress which resembles her and affirms her personality, a single creation which reflects her tastes, and makes her unique! In the line of this change, the traditional flimsy bustier makes more and more place to true corsets, moulded much better on your body, never gaping and which makes you an incredible figure with a true wasp-waist! No concerns: you will be completely at your ease, the whole day, as can testify many brides who taked the plunge. If you doubt it, read these testimonys (only in French unfortunately):

You must not forget that a corset is tightened as you wants: you can be laced very tight for the ceremony and the photographs, and then you unlace you a little if you feel the need for it when you eat and dance. But, I repeat it, as a bridal corset is never excessively tight, it is very probable that you will even not need to unlace it a bit. Most of the brides who wore corset confirm to have suffered from... their new shoes, whereas they had completely forgotten the corset! Your Volute bridal corset will not give you an extreme tighlacing : 5 to 10 cm (2 to 4 inches) of reduction seems a good average. But the effect is already extraordinarily visible !

Your corset will follow all your desires for this very unique day : if the overbust victorian is generally prefered by brides because it can be worn alone and allows splendid trimings, a waist cincher or an underbust victorian allows original ans very personal effects. And you can, why not, dare the Marie-Antoinette style: guaranteed chic effect!

I like making bridal corsets in the richest noble fabrics : raw silk, taffeta, brocade... and to trim them with lace or frogs ; but you can also be more original with a very coloured corset, or in unexpected fabrics: deer, denim... Of course, I can make it in a fabric matched with your gown, your veil... Everything is possible for this unique day !

Beauty does exist in "queen size" too!

Here, a very nice corset in cream taffeta, ribbons and lace,

on a basis of a long (overbust) victorian

Unique "hybride" custom model (doesn't exist in the "styles" section),

fusion of a 18th century top and  a more victorian bottom,

made out of embroidered silk (unique piece)

Different ways of being a corseted bride...

The corset, if often the main

and visible part of the bride's attire,

can also be worn under the dress

as body-shaping wedding lingerie,

as simple or as sexy as one wants!

It can feature garters/suspenders.

It can also be worn as a complement over the dress, like this long overbust victorian with a nice

pointy decollete,

made out of a cream brocade

embroidered in soft gold, worn over

a sheer blouse....

... or this underbust victorian

(see the original drawing here).

Two ways of wearing it: at the great day, and in more "casual" circumstances!

Two cup-corsets

(see the original drawing here)

that can easily be worn again after wedding, with a skirt or a jean...

Of course, every colors are very welcome!
