Here is the initial version of the waist cincher. The difference with the short victorian is that the cincher only covers the ribs  known as "floating", those which are not welded in front. Its upper point thus does not go up higher than the sternum, and it does absolutely not interfere with breathing. It allows a rather strong reduction of the waist, very pronounced compared to the left free higher coasts .

Small-sized, it is easy to wear over casual clothes or to embellish an evening dress in an original way ; it can also be worn discretely under clothing to make your figure perfect.

Its steel bones are also put in in a special way: on the front (for the busk), back (for lacing) and gathered by 4 on the sides. This characteristic gives it an excellent maintenance on the sides while ensuring much comfort; it was used by the ladies of the beginning of the twentieth centurie to pratice sport.

• Very sexy in vinyl (two colors, for example), it can also be worn in large true ribbons, richly embroidered (the price of the corset increases notably, these splendid ribbons costing from 16 to 40 US$ by yard...). Comfortable, it can be worn under clothing ; it can be made, in this case, in simple cotton.

• Of course, the fabric which seems most suitable for an "Obi" is a Chinese silk with small flowers! But in satin or vinyl, it will be really special and original.
